Senior Walking Pass: Seniors have the opportunity to use the walking path at the Haehn Campus Center, 30138 College Ave. M-F 6:30AM-11PM; Sat-Sun 8AM-10PM from Nov 1-March 31. Sign up at the Haehn Campus Center $55

 

Senior Yoga: Wednesdays, 1:30-2:30, Heritage Hall; $3.50 if you are a member of the Whitney Senior Center or $5.00 for non-members. Call (320) 255-7245 to register. Increase your flexibility, balance, and range of motion as you move your entire body through a series of seated and standing yoga poses.  Restorative breathing exercises and relaxation promote stress reduction and mental clarity.  Optional chair support provides added stability when needed.  

 

Enhance Fitness: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:30-2:30, Heritage Hall; $3.50 if you are a member of the Whitney Senior Center or $5.00 for non-members. Call (320) 255-7245 to register. An evidence-based program designed to improve the overall functional fitness and well-being of older adults.  The exercises focus on four key areas important to health and fitness: stretching and flexibility; low impact aerobics; strength training; and balance.

 

Open Gym at Kennedy Sundays from 11-2:00PM and Tuesdays from 6-8:00PM. Come play basketball, volleyball, soccer, or whatever you choose $2

Escape Room Creation: December 8, 13, 15th, 6-7PM, at Kennedy Community School; Students in grades 5-8 can come Create an Escape Room and have others try to escape it. $5/person. Sign up by December 2nd at https://www.cityofstjoseph.com/FormCenter

 

Elf Hunt: December 12th-19th. On Monday, December 12, a clue will be given through the City of St Joseph Facebook page to guide you to the business where you will find the first elf. When you go to that business and find the elf, that business will give you the next clue. There will be four elves hidden at four different businesses. Have fun!

 

 

Senior Bus Trip to the Minnetonka Area: Tuesday, December 6th, Pick-up will be at 8:30AM from the St Joseph Government Center or 9:00AM at the Whitney Senior Center in St Cloud. Return time should be about 6:00PM. Ride a coach bus from St Joseph to Ridgedale Center to do some shopping and eating(bring money for lunch or bring your own lunch). We will then move on to tour the Historic Burwell House(this is a free tour, but the house runs on goodwill donations) in Minnetonka and end with a little more shopping at The General Store(bring more money) in Minnetonka. Call the Whitney Senior Center at 320-255-7245 or register in person at the Whitney Senior Center. Cost is $30/person by Nov 27th, this includes water and a snack. We need a minimum of 30 people. We will contact you with more information if we have enough people.

 

Learn to Skate: Saturday, January 7th, 1:00PM, Join us for some skating tips and a quick lesson with coaches from the St. Cloud Figure Skating Club. All ages and skating levels are welcome. Bring your skates and let's learn to skate. We will meet at the rink next to Schneider Field in St Joseph. Volleyball for Kids: January 10, 12, 17, 19; 6-7:00PM - Kids in grades 3-5 can learn to play volleyball at Kennedy Community School. Learn to pass, set, hit, and serve. Sign up at:

Snowfest: Saturday, January 28, 11:00AM-6:00PM: 11-1:00 at Memorial Park will be Ice Skating, Sledding, Hot Cocoa, Cookies, Snow Shoeing, Face Painting, Snow Sculptures/painting; 1-4:00 at Millstream Park will be Dog Training Demo, Rescues dogs, Silent Run Dog sled rides, Food Truck, Wag on Wheel Mobile(nail clipping, grooming): 

3-6:00 downtown will be a Game Crawl with Ring Toss at Jupiter Moon, Jenga at The Middy, Guess Who at the LaPlayette, and Yard Pong at Sal’s. All four locations will also have Hammer-Schlagen available to play.
