[ARCHIVED] Please Shovel the Fire Hydrant in Your Neighborhood

Fire Hydranr Shovel for websire

We appreciate your help in keeping the fire hydrant in your neighborhood free of snow to help provide quick identification and access in the event of a fire.  Clearing ice and snow away from the fire hydrant also allows for a safer working storage, much like clearing your sidewalk, and provides a clear working space to hook a hose into the hydrant and provide a water supply for firefighting.  Ideally, a space of three feet around the fire hydrant in all directions should be clear of ice and snow.
