Stearns County is planning to reconstruct CR 133 between CR 75 and 15th Avenue in the City of St. Joseph. The construction will include adding a second eastbound to northbound left turn lane from CR 75 to CR 133, widening CR 133 to a divided four lane road between CR 75 and Elm Street East, and constructing a roundabout at the intersection of CR 133 and Elm Street East.
It is expected that construction work will begin mid-June 2024 and continue into the fall. The county is coordinating the city’s extension of Elm Street with the CR 133 project. The work will be done in two phases. Phase 1 will include construction of the roundabout along with construction of the Elm Street extension. Phase 2 will begin upon the completion of Phase 1 and includes construction along CR 133 between CR 75 and the new roundabout, and construction of the second eastbound to northbound left turn lane along CR 75.
Stearns County is partnering with Stonebrooke Engineering, Inc. of Burnsville on the project design.
