Park and Trail System Plan
In 2008 the City of St. Joseph Commissioned SEH to prepare a Master Park and Trail Plan. The park and trail system plan is a policy document and long-range planning used to guide St. Joseph's future decision making related to community parks, recreation facilities, trails, and preservation of open spaces. The plan will provide St. Joseph with a usable tool that will enable the city to:
- Identify community and city concerns
- Evaluate current park, trail and open space system
- Establish a clear vision and attainable goals for developing, maintaining and expanding the park system.
- Set measurable objectives
- Determine future park and trail system needs
- Make sound recommendations based on park and trail system conditions, public input, and future needs.
